Joint Reformation Service

IMG_6435Emmanuel OPC hosted a Joint Reformation Service with Faith PCA on October 27, 2013 to celebrate God’s faithfulness.  Rev. Kevin D. Koslowsky from Faith preached a sermon entitled “The Lord Is Faithful”, and Rev. Dr. Michael J. Matossian from Emmanuel gave the sermon “Called to Be Faithful”.   A joint choir along with brass and woodwinds accompanied the special service.  A light reception concluded the evening.

Christianity Explored

Christianity Explored is a seven-week program designed to help us learn more about who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means to follow him.  Together, we’ll work our way through the Gospel of Mark, one of the books of the Bible that tells the story of Jesus.  There’ll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and to hear what others think.  A typical evening will begin with dinner (on us!) followed by discussion in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.  We’ll be using a study guide to help get us going.  We’ll also have a short video each week to spur on the conversation.  Whether you’re only curious about what the Bible teaches and what Christians believe or you’re a new Christian, Christianity Explored is for you.

What: Christianity Explored

When: Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 pm starting October 2

Where: Emmanuel Presbyterian Church – Fellowship Hall

How: No need to sign up, just come.

If you have any questions or would like to know more, please give us a call at the church office or drop us a note by email.  You can also learn more about the program at www.christianityexplored.org.

Installation of Church Officers

On January 27, 2013, three men were installed as church officers of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church.  Richard Weaver was installed as deacon and Tom Crumplar and Todd Palmer were installed as elders of the church.   All of these men have served in leadership in the past and were re-elected to serve for another three year term.
