Thank Offering Video
View the 2020 Thank Offering WWO (Worldwide Outreach) video here. There’s still time to give to support the work of the OPC.
The OPC 2020 Thank Offering
This year’s Thank Offering theme is The Church Resilient which is a great theme for 2020. Due to the pandemic, it has been a challenging year indeed. Yet, for some, the challenges have been even tougher as they have been imprisoned or treated shamefully for their faith. Let us not neglect to pray for these brothers and sisters in the faith around the world. Let us remember our laborers in the fields as well. There are some who plant, some who water, and some who reap. They need our prayer support and our financial support. We have an opportunity to provide just that on November 22.
Book Discussion Small Group
Our Book Discussion groups will discuss Sinclair Ferguson’s new book, Devoted to God’s Church. We have two groups. Both meet on Wednesday night with one group starting at 7:00 p.m. and the other beginning at 8:00 p.m.
About the book:
Being a Christian is not an individualistic or isolated activity. Believing also involves belonging. Being a Christian, by definition, involves belonging to the church.
This is not a book full of ideas about how your church ought to change or what it needs to do in order to grow or to be successful. Rather it is about how we fit into our own church. There are hallmarks of church life that should be stamped on all our churches because they are applicable everywhere and anywhere — New Testament values for any size of church, in any part of the world, at any time.
Devoted to God’s Church will serve to help new Christians understand what it is to be part of a church, and will also be a refreshing reminder to every Christian of what it should look like to belong to the family of God.
Mini Sunday School
Immediately after the morning service, we usually have Mini Sunday School for the children. There will be Bible stories, Bible memory and mystery guests too! These 20-30 minutes will be filled with various activities. Kids, we hope you will join us!
On May 9th, we will not be having Mini Sunday School.
Sunset Concert
Join us for our Sunset Concert October 3 starting at 5:00 p.m. The music will be eclectic folk music and is sure to hold your interest as well as get your feet stomping. The concert is free. Please bring your own chair or seating for the concert if possible. If you like, you may bring your own picnic. We will practice social distancing and masks are optional. We hope to see you there!
