Tyler and Natalie are both from southwest Ohio, the land of cornfields and Buckeye pride. They both attended Cedarville University, and they first met during their freshmen year at Redeemer OPC in Dayton, OH. They were married on April 2nd, 2016. That same year, the Detricks moved to Glenside, PA to pursue Tyler’s theological education at Westminster Seminary where he is now in his second year. From an early age growing up in a Lutheran church, Tyler developed a love for teaching God’s Word, and that sense of calling has grown into a desire to preach Christ in the context of a local church. The Detricks enjoy music (Natalie sings and Tyler plays violin and bagpipes), birdwatching, and literature, among many other interests. They are excited to meet all of you this summer during Tyler’s internship opportunity at Emmanuel! Tyler will start at Emmanuel on May 29.
