Where the Bible is sincerely believed and faithfully taught.

At Emmanuel, you’ll find people who delight in worshiping God and encouraging one another. We make up a wide range of ages, from infants to the elderly. We all enjoy time together over refreshments after morning worship. We’d love to have you join us!

What times and how long are the worship services?

Morning Worship – 9:30 am
Sunday School – 11:15 am
Evening Worship – 6:00 pm

Morning worship at Emmanuel typically lasts between 75 and 90 minutes. The evening service is typically shorter, lasting between 60 and 70 minutes.

One of the things you will notice if you worship with us is that Emmanuel loves to sing.

Our singing is frequently accompanied by piano and sometimes other instruments appropriate to leading congregational singing.

What are the sermons like?

We view our worship as a time of communion, a coming together as God’s people to meet with God himself. We speak to him in prayer and praise, while he speaks to us through his Word, the Bible. We listen carefully and eagerly as portions of the Bible are read and then explained through the sermon. As the Westminster Shorter Catechism puts it, the chief purpose of human existence is “to glorify God and enjoy him forever.” The sermon helps us to understand what we need to know and to do to glorify and to enjoy God.

Worship, at its most basic, is meeting with God by his invitation. One of the things you will notice in our worship is how it is saturated with the Bible. This is no accident. We believe the Bible is God’s word, and through it God continues to speak. Our worship is a dialogue with God where he speaks to us through the reading and preaching of his word and the sacraments, and we respond to his word in confession, prayer, and song.

How often do we celebrate the Lord’s Supper?

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday, alternating between our morning and evening services.

Some at Emmanuel dress up for worship while others come in casual attire. Please dress respectfully, but wear what you are comfortable wearing.

God looks on the heart, not on the outside. It is our attitude toward God that counts: “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24).
